Alaa El-Din Mohamed El-Farjani El-Usta Associate Professor (Literature, Criticism and Rhetoric) in the Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Education, Janzour, University of Tripoli.

He obtained a BA from the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, Faculty of Education, University of Tripoli, 1998. He then completed his postgraduate studies to obtain a Master's degree from the Department of Arabic Language (Literary Studies) at the Libyan Academy, Tripoli, 2006. He then went on to study abroad and obtained a PhD from the Department of Literary Studies, Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum, Cairo University, 2014.

Careers

Work. Alaa El-Din Mohamed El-Usta has been an assistant lecturer for seventeen years, specifically in Al-Marqab at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Qasr Al-Khayar, then obtained a doctorate degree, to rise to the rank of lecturer, and held some jobs, including the coordinator of studies and examinations in the Department of Arabic Language in the year 2015 AD 2015 AD. Then he assumed the presidency of the Department of Arabic Language in the year 2016 AD 2016.In the year 2017 AD 2017 AD, he moved to the University of Tripoli, specifically to the Faculty of Education, Janzour, in the Department of Arabic Language, then moved to the Faculty of Sharia Sciences, Tajoura in the year 2023 AD 2023, to assume some tasks, including the presidency of the Department of Arabic Language, then the Deputy for Scientific Affairs at the College.In the year 2024 AD 2024 AD, he moved to the Faculty of Education, Janzour.In addition, Dr. Alaa El-Din worked as a collaborator in some colleges and universities, including, but not limited to, his cooperation with the College of Islamic Events for the two stages and postgraduate studies.He cooperated with the Open University of Libya as a lecturer in postgraduate studies, in addition to his indexing of some master's theses and discussing some of them in multiple universities.

Research Interests

Dr. Alaa El-Din Usta is interested in the sciences of literature, criticism and rhetoric, and this is evident from his scientific publications and cultural activities, where he presented research in Quranic rhetoric, including his research entitled “The Rhetoric of Justice in Quranic Expression”, and he also presented research in literary criticism, including his research entitled “Modernity in Quranic Expression”. Contemporary, in addition to his literary research, including his research entitled “Andalusianisms of Libyan Poetry”.

External Activities

Dr. Alaa El-Din Al-Usta is one of the poets who write classical Arabic poetry. He has activities and presence in the field of poetry through literary evenings and forums, where he lectures at many local and Arab festivals and meetings. He is a founding member of the Libyan Andalusian Association, and a founding member of the Libyan Association for the Support of the Arabic Language.
