Abstract

The consideration of the weak interaction as a peculiar manifestation of quantum gravity was led us add a new term in the semi-empirical mass formula (SEMF) to account for gravitational attractions between nucleons and to accommodate for the necessary corrections in the binding energy of the nucleus. The added term is employed successfully to calculate the strength of gravitation attraction at subnuclear level, and it shows good results.
