ملخص
This research aimed to study the causes of rising food prices that were behind the world food crisis during the period (2007-2014). By studying the global supply and demand factorsof food commodities, the results had shown that the increased the crops as used to producebiofuelsinstead of food and climate changes, in addition to rising demand due to population growth and changing consumption pattern of emerging powers in East Asia, were most important factors affecting the high food prices in world markets, Which was reflected in a reduction of low income and poor include Arabic States which imports most of its food commodities from world markets, where Arabic food gap value worsened during the years of crisis of 16.5 billion i n 2006 t o a b o u t 40.5 b i l l i o n in 2008 and 35.6 billion $ in 2013.
