Abstract
الوصف Structural changes occurring on mechanically alloying prealloyed Ti-24 Al-11Nb (at.%) and Ti-50 at.% Al powders are studied using XRD, TEM, laser Raman spectroscopy, and XPS. In both compositions, amorphous phase is followed by fcc crystalline phase. Detailed analysis indicates that fcc phase is nanocrystalline TiN, which forms from amorphous phase as contamination from atmospheric N sub 2 increases. (meeting proceedings
