Abstract
Dosimetric measurements of a teletherapy unit are essential for planning of a patient treatment and delivering accurate dose to the tumor volume. This study was crried out on the theratronic 780C, tele-Cobalt-60 unit functioning in the department of radiotherapy at Tripoli Medical Center, Tripoli, The current report describes the data measured with three Dimensional Radiation Field Analyzer (3D-RFA), the dosimetric equipment which gives the physical characteristics of gamma ray beam of Co-60 dose, beam profile, output factor, wedge factor and transmission shadow tray factor. The measured data was compared with the corresponding standard published data of British Journal of Radiology (BJR) along with the manufacturer's specifications and the sesults obtained have been in good agreement with manufacturer's specifications.
