Abstract

Long time ago man has tried to treat their illness by natural remedies due to less of side effects and more safe and effective agents. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of some traditional plants in Libya. The studied methanolic plant extracts were investigated for its activity against inflammation. There is a significantly inhibition of the paw oedema induced by carrageenan compared with that of the reference drug (aspirin). The findings suggest that the screened plants might be used in the treatment of inflammation and it supports the traditional use of these plants in relieving inflammation.
