A bait with sheep and chicken refuse and fruit was used to attract carnivores towards acamera trapthat was set up in the first 35 nights of the survey. Six carnivore species (Genettagenetta, Poecilietislibyca, Hyaenahyaena, Vulpesrueppelli, Vulpesvulpes, and Canis aureus) were documented and confirmed present in Misallatah Natural Reserve and National Park. The results presented clearly show that Misallatah Natural Reserve and National Park is an area of national importance for the conservation of carnivore species. Fires were the largest threat to the reserve species, in addition to that, fires were also responsible for habitat loss. Hunting incidents were also recorded in and around adjacent lands of the reserve. that might lead to threatened of some species, especially those wandering near the human areas.
