Abstract
Background: Adenoid cystic carcinoma is one of the most common malignant neoplasms of salivary glands, characterized by aggressive behavior, recurrence, metastasis to distant organs, and relative radio resistance, rendering local control challenging to achieve. Objective: The goal of this work is to shed light on the role of c-KIT in the pathogenesis of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma at the gene and protein levels.
