Abstract
The study were conducted in the period between February 2019 and May 2021, a total of 121 plant species were collected belonging to 122 genera and 40 families. The result showed that the dominance of the family Asteraceae with 20 species, followed by the family Fabaceae with 14 species. And then the Poaceae with 11 species. True Halophytes were indentified in 13 species. The study of the (Life forms) of the studied species showed the dominance of thermophytes with 65 species followed by Hemicryptophytes with 25 species. As for the study of the geographical distribution pattern (Chorotype) of the studied species, the result showed the dominance of Mediterranean chorotype with 55 species, followed by Mediterranean- Iranian- Turanian chorotypes with 16 species. Comparison of this study with some related previous studied, including a study conducted on halophytic plants on the coast of Tripoli, as well as a study conducted on the wetlands of Malaha (Matiqa), the result of the comparison was showed that most of the species collected during our study were present in the previous two studies, with some species collected in this study were not collected in the previous two studies vice versa
