Abstract
Medieval Sūfī scholars, such as Ibn ‛Arabi, argued, based on the story of Moses and Khidr, which Khidr is more knowledgeable than Moses, who is a Prophet and Messenger, leading to the common belief among Medieval Sūfīs that it is not necessary for Saints to follow Prophets, claiming that they have gained a spiritual level that allows them to received knowledge directly from Allāh or through Khidr. Therefore, The aim of study is to explore the usefulness of the story of Moses and Khidr for understanding the relationship between Prophets and Saints and the link between Saints and knowledge of the Unseen; and whether they are in line with the aims of this Qur'ānic story?
