Abstract
Abstract Bouri crude oil is quite different from the various crudes produced and processed in Libya. The heavy naphtha obtained from Bouri crude oil contains high amount of total naphthenic and aromatic contents. These will be the choice of feedstock for the local manufacturing of aromatics (BTX) by catalytic reforming processes[1]. The impact of Bouri crude oil on petrochemical industries is large. In this paper a study of various feedstock from Bouri crude oil is given, and further challenges and potential are enumerated and described with the aid of chemical analysis.
