Abstract

This chapter aims to describe and analyze the impact of international conference politics upon Libyan politics. Examining the effect of the Berlin international Conference on the Libyan Crisis is another goal of this chapter. While the general hypothesis argues that the Berlin Conference affects the Libyan Crisis, the null assumption is vice versa. This study deals with the impact of the Berlin Conference as an independent variable and the Libyan Crisis as a dependent variable. A multi-research strategy is adopted to examine basic and null assumptions, e.g., quantitative and qualitative content analysis techniques. However, the business as usual scenario, which assumes a partial execution of the Berlin Conference Declaration, is expected to prevail in the short run. Conferences may meet in the future due to changing circumstances and continuing conflicts of interests among national, regional, and international parties. Keywords: Libyan Crisis, Conferences Politics, Berlin Conference, Democratization, Internal Factors, External Elements, and Foreign Intervention.
