Abstract

Polyaniline, polyindole., polycarbazole and polybenzimidazole were synthesized from their monomers via an interfacial polymerization method using cerium (iv) sulfate aqueous solution as oxidant. Crystalline layered γ- zirconium-, mixed γ-zirconium-titanium phosphates, γ-Zr.PO4(H2PO4).2H2O(γ- ZrP), γZr0.80Ti0.20.PO4 (H2PO4).2.17H2O(γ-ZrTiP), respectively, were prepared and characterized by chemical, XRD. TGA, and FT-IR spectroscopy. Their polyaniline, polyindole polycarbazole and polybenzimidazole nano composites were synthesized by in-situ chemical oxidative polymerization of the corresponding monomers using cerium (iv) sulfate aqueous solution. Contents of the resultant polymers were characterized by elemental analysis, chemical methods, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Their electrical conductance measurements were estimated, found to be in range of semiconductors.
