Abstract
The present paper seeks to investigate challenges encounter novice medical translator in translating medical texts, to draw attention to the role of adopting the appropriate strategies that produce high quality translation in Arabic language. The data was gathered by means of a research tool in the form of a written translation test. The analysis of the data confirms that beginner translators’ mistakes are due to their ignorance of many things concern medical translation and they are unable to master English and Arabic languages. As a result, some strategies and solutions have been provided as a starting point towards resolving these problems and helping the translators to cope with the medical issues in the process of translation.
