From this point of view, the study came to shed light on its role in economic and social development. A sample was selected from a community of businesswomen, specifically in Tripoli, know their opinion about the participation of businesswomen in economic and social development in the Libyan society and what difficulties and obstacles they face In the participation, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and also used the questionnaire tool to collect data from the study sample, which consisted of (120) respondents. The study reached a set of results, which are : ? (33.0%) of the respondents are between (41-55) years old, and (48.7%) of businesswomen are married and have children, and also from the results it shows that (57.4%) of businesswomen have a (university) degree. ? In addition, it shows that (96.5%) businesswomen also work in the economic community institutions such as private and public production institutions, and that (74.8%) of businesswomen have a role in the process of making and implementing the local economic development decision and the economic development of the community, also(74.8%) of businesswomen contribute to human development through procreation and providing the community with new members, a businesswoman contributes by (91.3%) to providing a healthy life for her family. ? (92.2%) of the businesswomen stated theirinability to reconcile between work, home and children, their facing the refusal and opposition of the family and husbands and how their husbands are not supporting them into entering the labor market, as well as the difficulty of obtaining financing from banks.With a percentage of (93.0%) businesswomen agreed on how wars and armed conflicts and the absence of a state of instability of society formed an obstacle as in not giving much attention to projects and development at the level of society and the individual. ? For (93.0%) of these businesswomen one of the most important means of supporting businesswomen in participating in economic development is material support through obtaining financial loans from banks. (97.4%) also think thatamong the other forms of support there should be moral support by facilitating procedures, encouraging and giving incentives for the participation of businesswomen in the economic development process.
