ملخص

ABSTRACT The general objective of this research work is to determine and proportion of fine material such Cement Killen Dust (CKD) and Clay on the engineering properties of Sandy Soils from Al-Jafara (Sidi Sayeh) region and from Oases area (Serir). Samples with different fine material proportions (5%, 10%, 20% and 30%) were prepared and tested. The tests conducted are: Compaction Test, Direct Shear Test, California Bearing Ratio Test, Liquid Limit and Plastic Limit tests. The general conclusions of this study are: - It is possible to stabilize Serir sand with (CKD) and clay to be used as base course. - It is possible to improve Sidi Sayeh Sand properties with (CKD) and clay to be used as Sub-base course. The study recommended execution of typical sections using Sand Stabilized with CKD and Clay to verify the laboratory results.
