Abstract
This paper investigates the current status of the implementation level of MRPII system within the Libyan Textile, Plastic and Wood Industries. A survey questionnaire has been applied for this investigation covering key elements of MRPII in order to demonstrate the current implementation levels of the MRPII system within these surveyed industries. The outcomes from the survey analysis show that the MRPII implementation level within the Wood and Plastic investigated industries is still at modest levels, whereas the situation is relatively better within the Textile industry when investigating the actual implementation levels of MRPII key elements. In addition, the findings also identified problems and issues that the top and senior managers in the industrial environment within Libya might face towards implementing an effective MRPII system, and where serious attention should be applied in order to generate the necessary management commitments and participation towards the implementation process.
