The objectives of the study were to find out the common writing strategies that used by the undergraduate students of English department at Janzour college of education. This study also aimed to investigate the level of writing strategies that used by the undergraduate students at Janzour college of education. In order to achieve the objectives, the mixed-method method approach (quantitative and qualitative) was used by applying the closed-ended and open-ended online questionnaires to 30 undergraduate students. The results revealed that the students generally use writing learning strategies at a medium level. For pre-writing strategies, the most commonly used strategy was noting down words and short notes related to the topic. Furthermore, during-writing strategies were also moderately used by the participants. The most commonly used strategy was going back to the outline and making changes. After- writing strategies showed lower usage compared to pre-writing and during-writing strategies. The most commonly used after-writing strategy was checking for mistakes after receiving feedback and learning from these mistakes.
