Abstract

ThepresentstudyaimstoinvestigatetheroleofEFLteachersinpromotingmotivationamongstudentsduringthefirstsemesterattheFacultyofEducationinJanzour.Theobjectiveofthisresearchistoexaminetheteacher'sroleinmotivatingstudentsintheforeignlanguageclassroomandtoidentifyandimplementeffectivemotivationalstrategies.ThisresearchhighlightsthesignificanceofmotivationinlanguageeducationandexploresthepotentialformotivationalstrategiesthatmayassistresearchersandteachersattheCollegeofEducationinJanzour.Thestudyemploysadescriptivequantitativeapproach,andtheparticipantsareeightEFLteachersfromtheEnglishLanguageDepartmentatJanzourCollegeofEducationwhocompletedasurvey.Researchhasshownthatthereareseveraleffectivemotivationalstrategiesthatteacherscanusetoincreasestudents'motivation.Thestudyresultsindicatethatthesemotivationalstrategieshaveapositiveimpactonstudents,demonstratingtheimportantrolethatmotivationplaysinimprovinglearners'efficiency.Thestudyconcludedwithasummaryandsomerecommendationsforteachersandfurtherstudies.
