Abstract: This study deals with the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on the financing of foreign trade in Libya. It had a significant impact on the operations of exports and imports, so we try in this study to reach the impact of fluctuations in exchange rates on financing foreign trade in Libya. The study aims to address the concept of the exchange rate, its importance and determinants, identify the sources of foreign trade financing, its methods and stages, and shed light on the difficulties and problems facing foreign trade financing in Libya. The study also highlights the importance of the exchange rate as an influential factor in financing foreign trade. Through the results and recommendations reached by the researcher, which help those concerned with the matter of foreign trade to overcome the problems and obstacles facing this sector. The study assumed that there is a statistically significant relationship between exchange rate fluctuations and foreign trade financing in Libya, and there is a statistically significant relationship between exchange rate fluctuations and export financing, and there is also a statistically significant relationship between price fluctuations and import financing. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and the statistical method, the study reached a set of results, the most important of which is the increase in the exchange rate, which led to a decrease in the financing of imports, and the increase in the exchange rate led to an increase in the financing of exports, which negatively affected the financing of foreign trade. The research recommended working to reduce imports, especially imports of luxury goods, and focus on importing goods that help increase the total output of modern machinery and equipment that contribute to raising the efficiency of the production process, establishing commercial markets for the distribution of food commodities and services under the supervision and regulation of the competent authorities, and with the participation of the private sector, the necessity Coordination between the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and the Economic and Commerce Monitors in Municipalities.
