Abstract

Abstract The mammalian liver and kidneys are target organs for a wide variety of toxic agents due to their prime function as blood filters during the excretory process. Carbon tetrachloride is a toxic substance increasingly being recognized as a potential environmental pollutant. In this study, liver and kidneys have been studied and histological changes related to exposure of CCl4 in mice have been observed to evaluate the carcinogenicity of carbon tetrachloride.
