Description

The classroom teacher department grants a Bachelor's degree and does not contain a graduate program until now, and one of the most prominent points on which the study program of the class teacher department depends on the semester system which consists of (8) semesters, where the duration of the study is linked to what the student accomplishes from the units prescribed as graduation requirements, which are 124 units of study. These units include university-specific requirements of 20 study units, which are general subjects and mandatory educational courses, which are the requirements of the faculty, these are 24 units and elective courses that contain 6 units and their number is 2. Besides, the student studies two practical hours per week, which is one of the teaching requirements and the rest is theoretical. Moreover, there is the graduation project that takes about four hours a week ,in addition to practical education, through which students are directed to schools where they are supposed tobe  trained to practice teaching for the first three semesters of the basic education stage and the time and period scheduled for training is according to a decision of the faculty. The graduation project and practical education constitutes a success rate of 2% of the student's success within the faculty.

Objectives

The programme aims to:

1- Prepare qualified teachers capable of teaching.

2- Provide the students with theories and approaches related to the curricula and understanding them.

3- Introduce the students to the foundations and rules of teaching appropriate for the first grades.

4- Provide the students with theories related to growth in different stages of childhood and their applications in learning and teaching situations.

5- Develop the teaching skills of the students through the courses of the various teaching methods that the student passes through during the study period.

3- Acquiring the academic and professional skills and knowledge necessary for professional performance.

Entry Reuirements

·He/she must have obtained the high school certificate or any other equivalent certificate according to the approved percentage for admission, and no more than three years have passed since obtaining the certificate from the date of graduation.

·To be medically able to continue studying in his/her desired specialization.

·Submit the required original documents determined by the university administration.

·He/she should not have been previously dismissed from studying from colleges or universities.

· The faculty has the right to determine certain conditions and specifications for admission related to personality or to conduct an acceptance exam to differentiate between applicants, taking into account the conditions and specifications that must be met by the teacher.

Study Plan

The Bachelor in Class teacher prepares students to qualify for Bachelor in Class teacher. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.

It comprises 8 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 130 units, which include 20 units of general subjects, and 72 major units, 6 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.
