The course deals with the problem of the
relationship between population and development (a historical overview) and
touches on population indicators related to human development with the use of
some population equations and their application to Libya and a study of the
demographic window and how to invest it, development and its patterns, aspects
and most prominent terms, with the need to refer to human development reports
(national and international) and conduct Scientific readings about it and
methods of measuring development (theoretical models and basic concepts about
the relationship between population and resources). The course concludes with
the concept of population policies and the factors influencing them and their
methods.
Intended learning outcomes
Clarifying the relationship between the
concept of population and development and the impact of both on the other by
understanding the development of the population issue and what was called for
by international conferences on population.
Learn about population indicators and
development terminology and patterns.
Ability to provide readings in national
human development reports and humanitarian reports issued by the United
Nations.
Describe and study the demographic window
and make population predictions for any community by applying relevant
statistical equations.

policy, the factors affecting it, and the possibility of using it for planning
