Overview

In recent years, the need for rehabilitation and physiotherapy has increased to increase the number of cases affecting individuals as a result of accidents, illnesses, and stadium injuries. There is no doubt that the tremendous scientific progress that has taken place in this field in the world has made the need for sports injuries and rehabilitation a necessity in our country. This is because the increase in cases of disability negatively affects the individual and the family and ultimately reflects on society, and rehabilitation and physiotherapy need enough time so that the affected person can achieve the highest degree of self-reliance. And provide the student with the basic knowledge and concepts about common injuries in the sports field in terms of their concept - nature - causes - methods of prevention - physiological and health effects - and methods of treatment and provide the student with the skill of dealing with sports injuries inside stadiums, gyms, and hospitals in terms of the skill of diagnosis of various types and methods of first aid - methods of treatment - and rehabilitation after injury. The sports injuries course in all its divisions also qualifies students to rehabilitate cases of motor deficits resulting from sports injuries and poor motor skills, and help the patient to restore daily activities and overcome the obstacles facing the patient and the injured in daily life.

Intended learning outcomes

The sports injuries course aims to prepare national cadres of physiotherapists and medical escorts for sports clubs who are qualified to work in various fields of rehabilitation and qualify them to return to their full motor and functional potential through various means of rehabilitation through accurate diagnosis and then provide the best appropriate treatment methods.

Teaching and learning methods

The course is presented to the student through theoretical and practical lectures and panel discussions with brainstorming, in addition to field visits to the college laboratory to increase the understanding and scientific achievement of students.
