The
course aims to provide the student with the basic skills to deal with organic
materials and the tools and devices used to estimate some properties of organic
materials such as melting point, recrystallization and sublimation.
Intended learning outcomes
After studying the
course, the student will be able to determine the melting point of some solid
organic substances. He can also perform operations such as recrystallization of
many organic compounds, as well as the sublimation process of anthracene.
