Overview

Organic Chemistry Course 4 (CH363) is one of the compulsory courses for chemistry students, and the student must pass the course (CH353) and is interested in a comprehensive study of Carboxylic acid and its derivatives in terms of physical properties, acidity, nomenclature, preparation, and chemical properties. Amines physical properties, basicity, nomenclature, preparation, and reaction of amino group and diazonium salt, coupling reaction, Hoffman elimination

Intended learning outcomes

The student must be able to know the carboxylic acid and its derivatives And should also know amines

Teaching and learning methods

The use of typical teaching using the blackboard, giving an exercise at the end of the lesson and taking sudden oral and written exams throughout the semester.

Methods of assessments

Several methods of evaluation are used for evaluating class work and the total score for class work is 40% distributed 30% for two written or oral midterm exams and 10% anticipation, and 60% final exam.
