Practical Organic Chemistry 3 (CH363P) is one of the compulsory courses for chemistry students, and the student must pass the course (CH353P) and is interested in a comprehensive study of :-Synthesis of cyclohexanol form cyclohexene, Acylation of aniline into acetanilide, Nitration of acetanilide, hydrolysis of Nitroacetnilide to Nitroaniline, preparation of acetophenone oxime, oxidation of cyclohexene in to adipic acid, preparation of methylethanoate, and extraction of caffeine form tea leaves
Intended learning outcomes
The student must be able to prepare as many as seven organic compounds
Teaching and learning methods
The use of typical teaching using the blackboard, giving an exercise at the end of the lesson and taking sudden oral and written exams throughout the semester.
Methods of assessments
Several methods of evaluation are used for evaluating class work and the total score for class work is 40% distributed 30% for two written or oral midterm exams and 10% anticipation, and 20% reports and 40% final exam.
