This course aims to introduce the student
to the foundations of industrial chemistry, sources of various raw materials,
different types of industries, and the most important physical, procedural, and
chemical processes inside factories, in addition to studying the balance of
materials and mass in industry and manufacturing processes related to chemical
industries, petrochemicals, fertilizers, cement, glass and other common
industries.
Intended learning outcomes
After studying the course, the student will
be able to classify the sources of raw materials needed for manufacturing, as
well as classify the different processes within the factories, in addition to
the student being able to calculate the quantities resulting from the
manufacturing processes and identify the differences between the different
industries.
