Practical Analytical
Chemistry III (CH471P) is one of the compulsory courses for chemistry students,
there are two requirements before this coursethe student must pass them(CH351)
and (CH351P).The Practical Analytical Chemistry IIIis interested in a study of :-Separation
methods by solvent extraction, and(paper, thin layer, column) Chromatography,
and conductivity titration, spectrophotometric analysis, and write lab reports
Intended learning outcomes
The student must be able touse separatory funnel, and use
thin layer slides, filter paper, column for separation, and use
spectrophotometerapparate, conductivity meter, and write lab reports.
Teaching and learning methods
The use of typical teaching using the
blackboard, and taking A Practical experiments.
Methods of assessments
Several methods of evaluation are used for evaluating
class work and the total score for class work is 60% distributed 30% for two
midterm exams and 5% oral exam and 5% Homework or simple research and 10%
reports and 10% attendance and commitment, and 40% final exam.
