The course of Nuclear and Radiochemistry is one of the compulsory courses for students in the
chemistry program. To study this course, the student must pass the course of analytical chemistry
3 and inorganic chemistry 3.
In this course the student will study with the radioactivity, the nuclear reactions with its equations,
interference of radiation on different materials and the radiation mussering instruments. The
student will also know the application of Isotopes and the protection of radiationdevices, and the beneficial uses of isotopes and radiation protection.
Intended learning outcomes
The student should understand the basics of Nuclear and Radiochemistry and radiation and their
applications, the radiation Measuring instruments and the protection of radiation.
Teaching and learning methods
TTheoretical lectures, panel discussions.
Methods of assessments
he total score is devided as follow
30% for written semi final exams
10% for home works, quiz ….
