Prerequisite

Overview

Among the elective courses for chemistry students, and to study this course, there are prerequisites that the student must pass, which is the organic chemistry course3 (CH353)), and the inorganic chemistry course 3 (CH352). The environmental chemistry course is concerned with studying the definition of the environment, air pollution, water pollution, and hazardous chemicals (Hazardous Chemicals), Pollution from Ionization Radiation, Noise Pollution. The course aims to enable the student to understand the meaning of the environment and the types of pollution.

Intended learning outcomes

After passing this course, the student will be able to know the types of pollution in any form, whether it is natural or artificial pollution, the most important environmental factors, and how to preserve the environment.

Teaching and learning methods

Teaching the course is based on theoretical explanation using the blackboard, calligraphy, and discussion.

Methods of assessments

Class work score represents 40% of the final total, divided by 30% for written midterm exams, 10% for assignments, mini-scientific research and short exams, and the remaining 60% for the final exam.
