At the end of this course, students will be able to

· Understanding the structure, reactivity and properties of biomolecules and the building blocks from which these molecules are assembled.

· Illustrating the design and synthesis of small molecules which mimic the functions of biomolecules

· Explaining of the relationship between the structure and function of biomolecules

· Know the control mechanisms of important biological processes biomolecules metabolism.

أ.2	Illustrate the biosynthesis of biomolecules from small precursors
أ.3	Discuss the relationship between structure of biomolecules and their functions
أ.4	Understand importance role of biomolecules in biological systems.

ب.1	Describe with the nature of various biomolecules present in living cells
ب.2	Correlate how the large biomolecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids are made from the simple precursors.
ب.3	Interpret the structure-function relationships of the proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids.
ب.4	Ability to compare many concepts related to biological matter (definition, characterization, reactions and metabolic pathways).

ج.1	Ability to distinguish between biomolecules based on their structure and properties
ج.2	Ability to illustrate the biosynthesis of biomolecule form their monomers

ج.4	Ability to critically evaluate a problem and resolve to challenge blindly accepted concept
