The course practises some
collocations of the most useful words in English. For example, students
practise some nouns and verbs we use about particular topics in our daily life.
This course helps students to communicate with each other using English language.
In addition, it helps them to feel self-confident with the help of their
lecture when they try to produce the language orally.
Intended learning outcomes
By the end of this course students should be able to:
1. Make students feel more confident speaking English.
2. Make students feel comfortable in the English-speaking world.
3. Develop useful speaking skills.
Teaching and learning methods
The lecturer uses a variety of teaching methods. For example, the teacher gives classroom discussions, the use of collaborative learning by working in groups. The lecturer tries to make the class learner-centred by the use of different activities and tasks
Methods of assessments
Continuous Assessment 40 marks.
Oral Final exam: 60 marks.
