Introduction to the basics of scientific research, a historical overview of the emergence and development of knowledge, the concept of science, its characteristics, the concept of scientific research, its characteristics, and objectives, the concept of educational research, the characteristics of educational research, the functions of educational research, the importance of scientific research, its objectives, the ethics of the researcher, the qualities and characteristics of a good researcher, research departments, types of research, methods of documenting sources, punctuation marks.

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student becomes able to:

1. The student explains in detail the basics of scientific research and the emergence of knowledge

2. The student reviews the concept of science and its characteristics.

3. The student defines the concept, characteristics and objectives of scientific research.

4. The student explains the concept and characteristics of educational research.

5. The student mentions the functions of educational research

6. The student enumerates the ethics and qualities that a good researcher must possess and his characteristics.

7. The student determines the research sections and methods of documenting sources and punctuation marks

8. The student discusses the basics of scientific research .

9. The student extracts the concept of science and its characteristics.

10. The student compares the concept and characteristics of scientific research.

11. The student deduces the characteristics and functions of educational research.

12. The student compares the importance of scientific research with its objectives.

13. The student criticizes the bad qualities that a good researcher should stay away from.

14. The student applies the methods of documenting sources and punctuation marks through research in his field of specialization.

15. The student applies the basics of research in preparing scientific research in his field of specialization in which he follows the correct scientific steps

16. Using the projector, the student explains the concept of science and its characteristics

17. The student designs a printed worksheet in which he describes the concept and characteristics of scientific research

18. Analyzes the student using slides. Characteristics and functions of educational research.

19. The student writes an electronic article explaining the importance of scientific research and its objectives.

20. The student analyzes using slides the bad qualities that a good researcher should stay away from

21. The student designs a worksheet and explains in detail the methods of documenting sources and punctuation marks.

23. Using the latest technologies and developing its research capabilities by learning about the latest in the field of scientific research

Teaching and learning methods

· The use of semi-internet in enhancing the content of the article.

· Participation and discussion of students during the lecture.

· Assigning students assignments.

Methods of assessments

The assessment of students in this course is distributed as follows:

(Semester 40% and final 60%)

Separation work: (40 degrees) divided between:

First written test of objective or short essay style tests (15 marks)

Second written test of objective or short essay style (15 marks)

Scientific activities (e.g. writing a report or making a presentation) (10 marks)

Final: Written exam (60 marks)
