Overview

Concepts of dynamic stratigraphy, Principles of sequences stratigraphy, study of sedimentary basins and sedimentary environment, vertical diastrophism and lateral facies change. Application to petroleum exploration. Field study.

Intended learning outcomes

By passing this course, the student is supposed to be familiar with the following practical and professional skills:1. Plans for field studies necessary to enhance exploration opportunities.2. Implements, supervises and/or follows up field studies and analyzes their information.3. Acquire the skills of using stratified sequences in the study and analysis of sedimentary basins.
