Overview

Theory and application of X-ray diffraction theory and application, internal structure, chemistry and classification of clay minerals. Mineralogy and genesis of clay minerals. Theory and application of scanning electron microscope. Industrial uses of clay minerals.

Intended learning outcomes

By passing this course, the student is supposed to be familiar with the following practical and professional skills:1.Uses laboratory techniques in the study of minerals.2.It uses quantitative methods in calculating the composition of metals.3. Handles, reevaluates and uses published information.
