Research Methods, code GS 312, is taught to students in the third year of the Department of Islamic Economics, for two hours per week. In this course, the student studies topics, including the stages of scientific research, the basic requirements for conducting scientific research, the definition of scientific research, its importance, objectives and characteristics, the ethical principles of scientific research, a study Specifications of scientific research and the researcher, classifications of scientific research and scientific research methodologies in terms of the goals and importance of each of them, the study of the steps of scientific research, the study of sources and references, their importance and types, classification of sources and references and methods of classification. Studying previous studies and their aims, studying how hypotheses are derived and formulated, hypothesis components, benefits, and sources of hypotheses, studying how to select a research sample, and designing a research plan. The course aims to:1- The course aims to introduce students to the various scientific research methods and the rules that must be followed, starting with defining and describing the problem.2- Defining the student how to choose the methodology for collecting data and information related to the research.3- Introducing the student to how to use the scientific method in writing and analyzing data correctly, and to exploit modern technology in preparing and presenting scientific research.
