Overview

In this course, the student will be introduced to the elements of design (point, line, shape,...etc.) and he will also be aware of the different principles and values of design (balance, rhythm, unity,...etc). It recognizes the value of the structural unit of shapes in the design module. The course is also interested in developing the skills of simplification, abstraction, and modification of natural and unnatural shapes through analyzing their plastic construction and linking these values and applying them to interior design. The student also gets acquainted with the components of space, its types, and sources of ideas in design.
