Intended learning outcomes

1. The student learns about principle of occupational health and safety which is enough for them to work at the basic operational level.

2. The student understands the relationship between occupational health and safety and environmental science.

3. The student can apply the knowledge obtained to the real working situation appropriately and efficiently.

4. Demonstrate a base of knowledge in the recognition and assessment of health and safety hazards in the workplace.

5. Identify a conceptual framework for the practice of occupational health and safety.

6. Relate health promotion/prevention/protection concepts to the occupational health and safety program.

7. Apply ideas of occupational health and safety to the development and management of programs.

8. Identify education, engineering, and enforcement controls for the prevention of occupational health and safety problems.
