Overview

The course aims to enable the student to use statistical measures and apply them to the studied phenomena, and to provide him with initial knowledge of the rules of statistical analysis. In addition, the student will learn about the importance of statistics in practice and its keeping pace with scientific developments. As a result of this course, the student should deduce the significance of numbers in statistics.

Knowledge and understanding

  • The student knows the basic theoretical and applied principles of the course.
  • The student understand how to summarize the characteristics of the society under study.
  • The student compares the types of statistical data and how to represent them graphically.
  • The student remember the most important measures used to describe the data.

  • The student link between methods of entering data into the computer and how to draw conclusions.
  • The student be able to know the application of statistical measures according to the type of data.
  • The student will master the connection between dealing with numbers and their relationship to practical reality.
