Overview

This course deals with one of the levels of linguistic analysis, which is “Synthetic Grammar,” through which the student studies the concept of grammar, its relationship with other sciences, the terminology specific to this level, and its function. After completing the theoretical part of the course, the student moves to the stage of practical application, which is grammatical analysis. Syntactic, such as “parts of the word, then the simple sentence, the compound sentence, the components of the sentence and the text, and the grammatical contextual relationships between the components of the sentences and texts.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • Understanding the syntactic and morphological system of the language
  • Interpreting the relationship between a word and its relationship to other words from a grammatical and morphological point of view.
  • Knowing the criteria for classifying nouns, adjectives and verbs.
  • Composing simple sentences correctly.
