This course aims to introduce the student to histology and the classification of tissues that include epithelial, connective, muscular and nervous tissues. The course also deals with an introduction to embryology, how males and females are formed, the process of insemination and fertilization, and how embryos are formed in birds, amphibians and humans.
Intended learning outcomes
1-The student classifies animal tissues into 4 types (epithelial, connective, muscular, and nervous).
2-To show the student the most important differences between the different tissues in the body
3-Explain the stages of embryonic development
4-That the student explain the most important differences between embryos of birds, amphibians and mammals
5-That the student draws the shapes of cells in different tissues
