Abstract
In this work, we employed the electric quadrupole moment and the angular momentum of the first excited state in the yrast band to determine the radii of deformed even-even nuclei within the mass range between150 A 180 and A 250. The calculated radii obtained in this approach are quite comparable with available earlier results.
