Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the flipped classroom model on the students' reading skills. This is accomplished through the study aims which are: to investigate how the flipped classroom model influences students' engagement with reading materials both inside and outside of class and examine the effects of flipped classroom activities on students' reading comprehension, critical thinking, and overall literacy skills. A sample of students was selected from the Department of English at Tripoli University, Faculty of Education, Gasser Ben Ghashair. Data for this study were collected by pretest and posttest. The sample of the study consisted of 30 students. The results of this study indicated that a flipped classroom has a significant effect on students' reading skills, it can improve students' progress accurately, and it can save time. The study recommended that teachers should use a flipped classroom, flip classrooms may require training for both students and teachers, students must master time management and establish effort, and teachers may consider offering comprehensive instruction to students regarding flipped classroom learning idea.
