A B S T R A C T: This study investigates the harmonization between higher education outcomes and labor market needs from the perspective of faculty members at the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, University of Tripoli. The research addressed four key dimensions: curriculum content, acquired skills, practical training, and competencies required by the labor market. Additionally, it aimed to identify the most critical needs and requirements of the Libyan labor market in relation to the targeted learning outcomes of academic programs offered by the faculty. A descriptive-analytical methodology was employed, utilizing a questionnaire developed based on previous studies and tailored to the objectives of this research. The instrument’s validity and reliability were confirmed. The study population comprised all faculty members at the of Economics and Political Sciences (260 members). The sample size was determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s (1970) table, and participants were selected through random sampling. The electronic questionnaire was distributed via academic email, yielding (55) valid responses for statistical analysis using SPSS. Findings revealed a moderate level of alignment between the outcomes of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science and the requirements of the Libyan labor market, as perceived by faculty members. The results further emphasized the need for integrating additional components into academic programs, such as field training and digital skills, to ensure stronger and more sustainable alignment. The study recommends systematic and periodic reviews of academic programs, particularly in the context of digital transformation, to contribute effectively to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (2030).
