الملخص تمثل الثقافة المعلوماتية أساساً لاغنى عنه للتعلم مدى الحياة حيث أن ثقافة المعلومات مهمة وضرورية لكل التخصصات والمجالات وعلى كافة مستويات التعليم، وعليه فإن المعلومات تلعب دوراً ضرورياً وحيوياً بحياة الافراد فهي عنصر لاغنى عنه، وهي المادة الخام للبحوث العلمية كما أنها الركيزة الأساسية لاتخاذ القرارات، فالثقافة المعلوماتية هي المشكل وهي الحل وهي جميع المعارف والقيم والالتزامات الأخلاقية وطرق التفكير والابداع حيث لا وجود لمجتمع معلومات الا بوجود ثقافة معلوماتية مرتبطة به فقد أصبحت ضرورة من المتطلبات الأساسية والحيوية في حياة الإنسان. ولموضوع ثقافة المعلومات أهمية كبيرة حيث يبين مستوى الثقافة المعلوماتية في المؤسسات العلمية والخدمية ومدى معرفة الباحثين ووعيهم بهذا الموضوع وذلك من خلال مدى قدراتهم على إنتاج المعلومات و استهلاكها في كافة المجالات والتركيز على جودة كل ما ينشر من معلومات حتى تكون الاستفادة في المستوى. فثقافة المعلومات مجموعة من المهارات التي تمكن الأفراد من البحث عن المعلومات وإدارتها واستخدامها بشكل فعال حيث تتمثل هذه المهارات في القدرة على تحديد مصادر المعلومات المناسبة، واستخدام أدوات البحث المختلفة وتقييم جودة المعلومات واستخدام التكنولوجيا في إدارة المعلومات، وصولا إلى استخدام البرمجيات والتطبيقات المختلفة مثل قواعد البيانات والبرامج المكتبية ومن ثم القدرة على تحليل المعلومات وتفسيرها واستخدامها في اتخاذ القرارات الصحيحة. Abstract Information literacy represents an indispensable foundation for lifelong learning, as information literacy is important and essential for all disciplines and fields and at all levels of education. Accordingly, information plays a necessary and vital role in people's lives. It is an indispensable element and the raw material for scientific research. It is also the basic foundation for decision-making. Information literacy is both the problem and the solution; it encompasses all knowledge, values, ethical obligations, ways of thinking, and creativity. An information society cannot exist without an associated information literacy. It has become a basic and vital requirement in human life. The topic of information literacy is of great importance, as it demonstrates the level of information literacy in scientific and service institutions and the extent of researchers' knowledge and awareness of this topic. This is achieved through their ability to produce and consume information in all fields, focusing on the quality of all published information so that the benefit is adequate Information literacy is a set of skills that enable individuals to search for, manage, and use information effectively.
