Abstract
The cost of healthcare has risen significantly and demand for high quality care grows rapidly in our society. At the same time, hundreds of tables are gathered daily with patient-related data. Therefore, the modern analytics and business intelligence (ABI) platforms play a crucial role in this endeavor to improve performance while reducing costs in healthcare organizations. Utilizing the appropriate modern analytics and business intelligence (ABI) platform is a challenging task due to the large number of tech vendors providing the BI and analytics applications landscape. The goals of this study are to identify and compare the leader ABI platforms for healthcare organizations. Firstly, to assist managers with better platform selection to improve the quality of services in the healthcare domain. Secondly, to expand IT specialists’ knowledge with deep technical details. These goals have been achieved by technically analyzing the leading six modern analytics and business intelligence (ABI) platforms in the healthcare domain, based on the suggested criterion to measure their applicability, general characteristics, and standard requirements.
