Abstract
The behavior of concrete, whether fresh or hardened, generally depends on the behavior of its components and the relationship between them. Thus, obtaining a concrete with certain properties fundamentally depends on the concrete mix design. Concrete mix design usually includes two main steps: (1) selecting the main components suitable for the concrete (cement, aggregate, water, and additives); (2) determining more economical mix ratios to fulfill the workability, strength and efficiency requirements. Currently, there are many international methods locally approved for mix designs.
