Abstract
The effect of wax comb age on some morphological characteristics of honey bee worker Apismellifera L. which included the weight of worker, the length of proboscis, measurements of fore wing and hind leg carried out. Colonies are provided with foundation wax and after the bees drawn it, old comb introduced to each colony typically used by beekeepers for many generations approximately two years aged, five workers are collected randomly after emergence from each experimentally comb and mentioned morphological characteristics were measured. The results of statistical analysis showed significant differences between the new and old wax comb in the averages of worker weight, wing area and tibia length while the results of averages of worker proboscis are difficult.
