Abstract
: In this paper we define a new kind of generalized open sets in a topological space which is called wopen set. The class of w-open sets is contained in the class of somewhere dense sets and it contains all semiopen sets except the empty set. We investigate the conditions under which the class of all w-open sets(respectively, somewhere dense sets) with the empty set forms a topology. Later, the density of the above generalized open sets and other famous generalizedopen sets are studied and compared under some conditions on the original topology.
